------- Comment #6 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-11-02 19:31 -------
What Rui said is right. From the log info in comment #3 it seems that there
exists the following messages:
    >ACPI Error (psargs-0358): [\_SB_.PHSR] Namespace lookup failure,
AE_NOT_FOUND
Sep 27 07:35:14 ronnie-laptop kernel:
    >ACPI Error (psparse-0530): Method parse/execution failed
[\_SB_.PCI0.LPC0.EC0_._REG] (Node f742bac8), AE_NOT_FOUND
The PHSR object will be evaluated in course of EC initialization(_REG
object). But unfortunately the PHSR object doesn't exist. It brings that EC
device can't be initialized correctly.
Will you please try the debug patch in
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10237#C54 and see whether the
problem still exists?
Of course it is also OK if you can try the latest kernel(2.6.28-rc1/2/3).
The patch is already shipped in 2.6.28-rc1.
   thanks.
