Software Environment:
Problem Description:
On this laptop some function keys are BIOS-controlled (they work before Linux
boots).

As soon as Linux boots they stop working. Trying some boot options I've found
that "acpi=off" makes them work
after checking dmesg and /usr/include/linux/input.h i fixed them with
setkeycodes e008 225
setkeycodes e009 224

BUT, in graphical mode it makes the keyboard freeze (i need to switch to CRTL +
ALT + F1 and then CTRL + ALT +F7 to make it unfreeze)
AND it brings down the brightness at 0%
or brings up the brithness at 100%
it did not stop, even if i'm no more pressing the key

because it is a netbook i can't loose acpi (i can't see the batterie status)
and the processor is at 100% speed not very good to spare batterie life

I killed acpid and try a "cat /proc/acpi/event" but it didn't show anything
after pressing the brightness button

the directory /sys/class/backlight is empty
