I suggest you update your kernel to the latest kernel release, and you'll see only acpi_video0 here, which actually works. > Can we now hope this .hex fix will be provided with the next releases of the > kernel ? > no, this is not a kernel bug. And the fix is in BIOS rather than kernel. In order to make brightness work on your laptop, I think you need to upgrade your BIOS to see if it's fixed, or use this customized DSDT for all Linux kernels. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
