patch http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/11/10/233
that is on recent fedora kernels 2.6.27.

I am trying keep the track of this problem, here.

ah other thing talking with Sérgio Luis, switching displays, means switching
from LCD to CRT, which only triggered when we have ACPI. So when he said that
his laptop don't crash with acpi=off, also means that not even, was close to
work. 
Reading this bug the assumption that _DOS=0 solve Sérgio Luís problem and
changing kernel because that at least should be revert.
