Attached is a log of changes between 2.6.27.4 and 2.6.27.5.

Fabio, your last comment indicates that one of these changes caused the problem
to appear on your system and, IIRC, you verified that it wasn't one of the ACPI
EC changes.  Unfortunately, I don't see which of the other changes can
potentially make the difference for you.  Perhaps the other people looking at
this bug will find it.

Quite frankly, I think that carrying out bisection of these changes would be
the fastest way to identify the guilty commit.  That's only 59 changes, so
you'll need 6 or 5 kernel compilations to do that.
