    Thanks for the explanation.
    Before the system enters the sleeping state, the current jiffies will be
written to the RTC CMOS area. After the BIOS transfers control to OS in real
mode, the 0xA8A8A8A8 will be written.  After the protected mode is entered, the
0x9C9C9C9C will be written.
    But from the output it seems that the value is 0xffff3587. It is beyong
what we expected.
    In such case it seems that it is also changed by BIOS. And we don't know
the true value what we have written.
