------- Comment #12 from jonathan.d...@gmail.com 2009-01-20 16:26 ------- Hi, First, I would to thank you for the time you're spending on this issue. I switched the boot option to acpi_osi="!Windows 2006". The backlight is registered by the generic ACPI video driver again. (/sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0). Unfortunately, The brightness level adjustement fails again. I stopped the acpi daemon and attached the output of /proc/acpi/event to this message. One more precision which might be useful here: I'm using radeonhd as my video driver. I should try to switch to ati proprietary driver (fglrx) to see if the backlight is handled properly. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: SourcForge Community SourceForge wants to tell your story. http://p.sf.net/sfu/sf-spreadtheword _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
