As the DTSE is zero, the ACPI fan device has nothing to do. But it is very strange that this can work well under windows XP.(The DTSE is defined in the ACPI non-volatile memory region). Maybe on windows XP the physical FAN device is controlled by platform-specific driver instead of ACPI fan driver.
