Do you mean to run that command to see if it fixes it without having to do a
suspend/resume?

After a suspend-to-mem cycle, all battery monitoring works fine, lshal
--monitor, and the kde4 battery applet both detect and react to the ac being
un/plugged.

Im having trouble finding a binary 2.6.28....i'll probably have to build
from src to test it.

I'll be able to try it later, im away from the machine atm.
