In repley to comment #13 and comment #15: all 3 variants boot fine (keeping the
single printk in acpi_idle_enter_c1)

processor.max_cstate=1 still calls acpi_idle_enter_c1() but the message stating
that TSC is unstable seems to happen a few acpi_idle_enter_c1() later.
If log is useful I can attach.

idle=poll does not call acpi_idle_enter_c1() at all

clocksource=acpi_pm calls it exactly once before marking TSC as unstable.
