Len Brown <len.br...@intel.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEEDINFO |CLOSED Resolution| |DOCUMENTED --- Comment #19 from Len Brown <len.br...@intel.com> 2009-05-19 18:25:16 --- If we can prove that Windows figures out how to work properly in the face of this BIOS bug, then it justifies spending the effort to make Linux handle the same bug. I don't know what "virtual box" is, but if windows isn't talking to the real hardware, then that isn't interesting. I'm closing this bug as "documented" at this point, as a workaround is documented that gets you going. If you can show Windows on the hardware works, or we run into other systems with the same issue, we can re-open and investigate further. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Crystal Reports - New Free Runtime and 30 Day Trial Check out the new simplified licensing option that enables unlimited royalty-free distribution of the report engine for externally facing server and web deployment. http://p.sf.net/sfu/businessobjects _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
