/var/log/messages returns the following error:
"[Firmware Bug]: powernow-k8: Your BIOS does not provide ACPI _PSS objects in a
way that Linux understands. Please report this to the Linux ACPI maintainers
and complain to your BIOS vendor."
I suspect that this is a firmware bug, but I've been in contact with BIOS and I
thought it would be appropriate for both parties to be aware. As I can recall,
it worked fine with previous BIOS versions.
