--- Comment #3 from Ian Smith <[email protected]> 2009-11-06 08:57:07 --- Created an attachment (id=23675) --> (http://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=23675) acpidump emachine D725 Thanks so much for the help. acpidump and lispci are attached. acpidump also gave error messages (attached). /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/ does exist. It's a symbolic link to /devices/virtual/backlight/acpi_video0 Trying the command: >echo 5 > /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness nothing happens. This is also true for echo 0-9. However, if I echo 10 or more, I get an error message: "bash: echo: write error: Invalid argument" -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching the assignee of the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
