please attach the output from lspci -vv

I don't know if the intelfb driver is related to your blank screen,
but as you've got the i915 driver built into the kernel, i would think
that you would not need/use the intelfb driver.

for comparison, here is the analogous output on my ich9 based system,
which is apparently running 100x faster...
