I'm running Lucid beta. I was pleasantly surprised to find Lucid closed down normally after two years of forced close-downs, although I did get a crash message about an "unkillable shutdown applet" (if I recall correctly).
However, after a few days of normal shutdowns, I received some new updates and after that the computer stalls again at the exit screen.
