But then the kernel should report capacity * design capacity = 100% * 5200mAh = 100 / 100 * 5200 = 5200mAh. 2) I don't know why you can not calculate the remaining capacity. In my reported data the eeepc was connected to the charger and full. Therefore the discharge rate is unknown. The calculations are not different then with other batteries. Or? 3) Both windows xp and the the original asus supplied linux have no problem reporting the battery state.
