In summary: Yes, it is possible, and the issue seems to go away. The setting
seems to cause other problems. One problem I haven't mentioned yet: If I shut
down the system via the "halt" command or the shutdown menu item, the operating
system shuts down and says "System halted." but it doesn't switch off the
computer. All in all, this seems not a good way out. Could you please respond?
