--- Comment #5 from Chris <c.ammer...@gmail.com> 2010-10-29 16:01:23 --- Created an attachment (id=35472) --> (https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=35472) dmesg output when screen is NOT dimming Here's something interesting. As described, removing power cord seems to have random behavior: sometimes screen dims, sometimes it doesn't. So here's what I did to generate dmesg output, to compare the two states: 1. Boot with power cord plugged in. 2. dmesg -c, and inmediately after, unplug power cord. Screen not dimming. Output: dmesg_screen_not_dimming.log 3. plug in power cord. 4. dmesg -c, and inmediately after, unplug power cord. Screen dimming. Output: dmesg_screen_dimming.log (as expected, I had to try 3 and 4 quite a few times to generate the 'screen dimming' result). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nokia and AT&T present the 2010 Calling All Innovators-North America contest Create new apps & games for the Nokia N8 for consumers in U.S. and Canada $10 million total in prizes - $4M cash, 500 devices, nearly $6M in marketing Develop with Nokia Qt SDK, Web Runtime, or Java and Publish to Ovi Store http://p.sf.net/sfu/nokia-dev2dev _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
