Well, my memory clearly has failed me -- I've taken the radeon out temporarily
and immediately on boot I notice that the noisy fan is gone - so it *is* the
radeon fan.

noise levels are pretty much the same before and after resume (same kernel as
last few comments, e819eb8687767cefca7b6abf5ac6d5efcf581eeb)

I've taken the liberty of changing the bug state to "NEEDINFO" rather than
"INVALID", I hope that's ok...
