Other suspicious .config options apparently set in the failing .configs are:

CONFIG_ACPI_BLACKLIST_YEAR=2000
CONFIG_ACPI_APEI=y
CONFIG_X86_APM_BOOT=y
CONFIG_X86_SPEEDSTEP_ICH=y
CONFIG_X86_SPEEDSTEP_SMI=y
CONFIG_INTEL_IDLE=y

There are probably more, but I'd start from checking the above (and the
ones in the two previous comments).
