Steps to Reproduce: 1) boot notebook without being docked 2) plug into docking station while running Actual Results: /dev/lp0 does not exist Expected Results: /dev/lp0 is created and can be used Removing the parport and lp module and loading it again does not have any effect and `dmesg` says "[ 6977.586439] lp: driver loaded but no devices found" (no /dev/lpX device is created). If the notebook was booted while being docked, everything works as expected and the device exists. This problem also occurs using the stock 2.6.32 kernel from Debian squeeze. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching the assignee of the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Index, Search & Analyze Logs and other IT data in Real-Time with Splunk Collect, index and harness all the fast moving IT data generated by your applications, servers and devices whether physical, virtual or in the cloud.
