In my DSDT I've got:
OperationRegion (VERM, EmbeddedControl, Zero, 0xFF)
Field (VERM, ByteAcc, NoLock, Preserve)

I don't really understand what it means and why VERM should be named ERAM.

The acpid process receives some netlink message when I plug in/out the ac
adapter.

I also see a notification in the gnome-power-manager applet. So there must be
some kind of event?
