Len Brown <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |NEEDINFO CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #1 from Len Brown <[email protected]> 2012-05-08 01:48:28 --- The ACPI poweroff sequence is quite standard. At the very end, we basically pass control to the BIOS (in SMM). Likely your system isn't working because the BIOS SMM code is confused by some state left behind by Linux. The fact that you narrowed it down to the graphics driver is a clue, but I'm not sure what else you can do with that clue... perhaps try swapping in a different graphics card (and thus graphics driver)? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching the assignee of the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
