Hi Paul,

As Len has said, if the BIOS doesn't claim support of S3, then Linux will not
be able to suspend. You should be able to tell by looking at the dmesg, there
should be a line like this:
[    0.167122] ACPI: (supports S0 S3 S4 S5)

Please let us know the result, and attach the output of acpidump would also be
helpful, thanks.

# acpidump > acpidump.out
