The ACPI video module "video.ko" is causing the kernel to hang immediately upon
getting loaded. The computer doesn't respond to any input afterwards (not even
MagicSysRq). This only occurs when booting in UEFI mode as everything works
great in legacy BIOS boot mode.

I've had this very same issue for the past 18 months of kernel releases and
just realized that blacklisting video.ko solves the issue. I'm running the
latest BIOS (6.20), and the two previous BIOS revisions didn't make a
difference.

This problem is not distribution specific.
