The brightness hotkeys used to work fine with kernel 12.x after adding
acpi_backlight=vendor to the kernel parameters.
I upgraded to 13.3 today and the hotkeys stopped working.
I can still control the brightness using:
echo 700 > /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness
Combinations of Kernel parameters I have tried:
- No parameters at all
- Only acpi_backlight=vendor
- Only video.use_native_backlight=1 (using this now)
- acpi_backlight=vendor video.use_native_backlight=1
thinkpad-acpi.brightness_enable=1
The hotkeys show up fine in xev.
I've attached some logs, if you need more information, I'll be happy to provide
it.
