--- Comment #4 from [email protected] --- Here's a BAT0 available/missing feature matrix (from memory, don't have computer at hand to test right now): | boot with: acpi_osi unset | acpi_osi=Linux | acpi_osi=Darwin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.6 | BAT0 | BAT0 | BAT0 4.7 | no BAT0 (defaults to Darwin) | BAT0 | no BAT0 4.8-rc8 | no BAT0 (defaults to Darwin) | BAT0 | no BAT0 Please also note the secondary problem: upowerd getting confused by ADP1 uevent coming in and BAT0/status updating seconds later (thus new BAT0/status is missed by upowerd when re-reading the current state). This problem is somehow gone on 4.8-rc8 with acpi_osi=Linux where upowerd keeps battery state in sync with reality when pluggin/unplugging power cable. The upowerd getting confused problem did not exist about 1 year ago. The winning configuration for me where I get rid of both problems is thus: 4.8-rc8 booted with acpi_osi=Linux -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching the assignee of the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, SlashDot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
