            Bug ID: 202141
Summary: Alps Touchpad AUI1659 not detected as i2c_hid
           Product: ACPI
           Version: 2.5
    Kernel Version: 4.19.13
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
         Component: Config-Tables
          Assignee: acpi_config-tab...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
          Reporter: sven-kerne...@geggus.net
        Regression: No

Everything my kernel is telling me about my touchpad is the following:

[ 9.086767] i2c i2c-14: adapter [Synopsys DesignWare I2C adapter] registered
[ 9.087140] i2c i2c-14: client [AUI1659:00] registered with bus id
i2c-AUI1659:00

i2c_hid does not even try to register with the device.

The machine is a Lenovo V130-15IGM and the ACPI dsl might well be broken, as
PNP0C50 is not even inside the DSL I extracted from the machine.

On Windows the machine is using the following device:
HID\AUI1659&COL01\5&6951D2C&1&0000

But even there the Touchpad started working only after installing the driver
provided by Lenovo.
