            Bug ID: 205861
Summary: Semi-regularly, 1 CPU core is entirely hogged by
                    kworker/0:1+kacpid
           Product: ACPI
           Version: 2.5
    Kernel Version: 5.3.9 (Debian)
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
         Component: Other
          Assignee: acpi_ot...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
          Reporter: post+ker...@ralfj.de
        Regression: No

Since the kernel update from 4.19.37-6 to 5.2.17-1 (Debian kernel version), I
regularly have 100% load on one CPU core. "htop" shows a red bar for that load,
which means it is "kernel" load. According to "top", the load is caused by
"kworker/0:1+kacpid". "perf top" in one case showed some function names
involving acpi, but when this just happened again, "perf top" showed no
noticeable load at all.

The issue persists with the kernel I have currently installed:
$ uname -a
Linux r-thinktop 5.3.0-2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.3.9-3 (2019-11-19) x86_64
GNU/Linux

This happens roughly once or twice a day.
It starts randomly during operation, at least I have not been able to find a
pattern yet.
To get rid of this, I have to put the machine to suspend and resume it again.

I am using Debian testing on a ThinkPad P50.
