Bug ID: 209989 Summary: EC installed the wrong gpe handler if the both addresses are same to the boot EC Product: ACPI Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 5.9.2 Hardware: All OS: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: EC Assignee: acpi...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org Reporter: leo881...@gmail.com Regression: No Created attachment 293345 --> https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=293345&action=edit The patch I currently use My laptop is HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0095tx. This laptop has the same EC command and data address on ec & boot_ec, however, the GPE number is different. On boot, it uses 0x17 as GPE, but after that, the GPE is 0x14. Currently, there is a quirk fix for ASUS laptop in acpi_ec_add(), but I think it should not be there.
