Bug ID: 213845 Summary: [ 0.096072] DMAR: [Firmware Bug]: No firmware reserved region can cover this (at boot) Product: ACPI Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 5.13.4 Hardware: Intel OS: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: BIOS Assignee: acpi_b...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org Reporter: mareklac...@tutanota.com Regression: No Created attachment 298029 --> https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=298029&action=edit The firmware error at boot. Happens on the Surface Pro 3, could be related to iwifi, the Intel integrated graphics, thermals, RAM, or even possibly the SSD? I have noticed the message display at boot since about Kernel 5.12.7 (but not before) and the system boots seemingly normally anyway, at least at first glance. Also, I don’t know if this has any relevance really, but it seems that together with the mentioned issue, I also get errors about Intel PowerClamp mentioned next to the ACPI error. Thanks to all, for any guidance on this in advance. -- You may reply to this email to add a comment.
