A friend has this issue as well on the same laptop. As you mentionned,
"i8042.direct i8042.dumbkbd i8042.noloop i8042.nopnp" makes the keyboard work
but with a huge input delay, and it also writes the character hundreds of times
(even if I only pressed the key without holding it).
