It seems like the ACPI changes in kernel 2.6.21-rc1 are causing errors/warnings
that weren't present in 2.6.20, potentially affecting the KDE klaptopdaemon
battery icon. The issue might be related to how ACPI is interacting with your
system, possibly leading to the icon disappearance. It could be worth checking
the dmesg logs and ACPI dump to identify the specific errors. Additionally,
ensuring that you have the latest updates for both the kernel and KDE might
help resolve any compatibility issues.
