Bug ID: 220459 Summary: Asus Vivobook N752VX fails to boot without 'nolapic' Product: ACPI Version: 2.5 Hardware: All OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: Config-Interrupts Assignee: acpi_config-interru...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org Reporter: neme...@icequake.net Regression: No Created attachment 308493 --> https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=308493&action=edit acpidump -b Trying several distributions with recent kernels (6.10+, Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora), the system completely hangs immediately after booting from GRUB unless I introduce either acpi=off or nolapic. Setting acpi_osi=Windows has no effect in this case. Of course this is not much of a workaround since it causes some big usability problems for the system (only single core, touchpad doesn't register movement, etc.) -- You may reply to this email to add a comment.
