--- Comment #17 from tropicaal ([email protected]) --- A few days ago, I put a few hours into trying to setup kernel debugging on Windows 11 for thie laptop to trace ACPI methods and compare them to see if there was anything obvious standing out between how ACPI.sys vs ideapad_laptop handle waking from s2idle. Unfortunately, it seems that Microsoft has removed support for !amli debugging functionality from ACPI.sys on consumer versions of windows as of Windows 10 1803, which makes this process a lot more difficult than it should be. Because of this, I'm only able to get ACPI method call names without arguments via logman traces for Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-ACPI, and generally the Windows implementation of S0ix on this laptop seems to be significantly different either way. I'll attach what I found regardless, but I doubt this will be particularly helpful for solving this unfortunately. Maybe I'll try running an ancient version of windows to see if I can get !amli trace on to work with WinDbg on this laptop. -- You may reply to this email to add a comment.
