Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! I've definitely been down the kernel
rabbit hole before. It's frustrating when upgrades break things. Given it
happens after grub, but before the full system loads, I wonder if it's a
graphics initialization issue related to the kernel update. Maybe try booting
with the nomodeset kernel parameter temporarily? It forces the system to boot
with a basic graphics driver. If that works, it might indicate a need to adjust
your graphics driver configuration, or at least that you can get the system
booting while you trouble shoot the real driver. Troubleshooting that
configuration can be an uphill slope, but it might be the fix. Hope you get it
