Hello Guys:

I am wondering if there is a difference between scheduling an ASP to run from SQL
Server as opposed to the Windows Task Scheduler?

My personal feeling is that we should use the Windows Task Scheduler to do this, but
management at my company wants to use SQL Server and a DTS Package to accomplish this.
Management's only argument is: by using SQL Server, they keep all the scheduled
tasks in one place. My argument is: Leave SQL Server to call Stored Procs for data,
and any other task: use the Windows Scheduler.

Are there any pros and cons to each method other than the philosopical I just
mentioned? I am not opposed to the SQL Server method, but I have to admit; I am not
really knowledable in either method, so I am looking for advice here.

thanks
Andy
