Hi Heron, > I've been using Crimson editor to write ASP files for quite > sometime. But now I find problems opening the saved files.
How are you attempting to open the files? ie; File>Open or double-clicking or dragging the file(s) into an open instance of the application... If you're running notepad and drag your asp file into the notepad window it should open up directly as it is only simple text. However, if you're having problems with double-clicking on the files then it may be due to another application usurping the asp extension - I once had a bit of an issue with PhotoShop taking over my ASP files thinking they were some form of filter or something. > In fact I cannot open Crimson Editor at all since it > attempts load with the last worked ASP file all the time. Looks like Crimson Editor stores the workspace information in a file named "cedit.wks" in the installation folder. Open it up (in notepad) and delete everything between the <workspace version="Crimson Editor 3.60"></workspace> tags, and it should open without problems next time. Regards, Shawn K.
