Yeah, same where I am.  When I setup my intranet server though, I did have
to tell Exchange guy to setup "allow relaying from this IP address: [IP of
intranet server]."  Hopefully your Exchange server is currently setup NOT to
allow relaying from any IP, even if only just internal IPs!
