On my Windows 2000 Professional machine when I try to create ASP.Net Project from Visual Studio I get error message: "Visual Studio .NET has detected that the specified Web server is not running ASP.NET version 1.1. You will be unable to run ASP.NET Web applications or services."
My Sequence of installation on the computer is: .Net framework Visual Studio IIS Server Web development components from Visual Studio Visual Studio still can not create an ASP.Net project, because it can not find IIS server. But IIS Server can execute ASP.Net pages. My question is: Can I create ASP.Net projects in Visual Studio on a computer with Windows 2000 Professional which has IIS installed? If the answer is Yes, do I need to install Dot Net Framework and Visual Studio again, because they were not installed in the correct order?
