Last Feb (18th) there was a discussion on obtaining the host address following a W* redirect. The most relevant post from Derrell Thomason suggested a way to obtain the host following a W* redirect. I never 'got' it so would like some further guidance on the issue.
Zach Dennis said he found a way, but never elaborated.
Here is the problem:
A request arrives from a client IP: 210.1.2.3
Firewall: Directs the request to G4 Mac W*V Server (IP: 192.1.2.3) which (rewrites) redirects (Proxy) to G4 Mac 4D Server (IP: 192.1.2.4).
At this point 4D believes the host to be 192.1.2.3, not the original requesting IP: 210.1.2.3
How can I capture the IP of the original client (210.1.2.3)?
