One of my clients is considering a PHP/mySQL eCommerce solution to go along
with an A4D based dynamic web site.
Which one?
Is PHP hard to pick up after learning A4D?
From a conceptual standpoint, no. The language is based more on C, so the syntax is a little different. If you have only ever programmed in 4D, there will be more of a learning curve.
Does anyone have a 4D/A4D eCommerce solution that they are willing to share?
Good question. To be honest, I use osCommerce, an open source PHP/mySQL ecommerce package for my site. I have also done ecommerce in Active4D for clients, but it isn't generic enough to be reused.
