OK, we are in a Mac OS X environment, so your mileage may vary...
When we first bought our Active4D license, we also bought ITK and TCPSD to run it on. We found that once we installed ITK and TCPSD, they would consume 100% of our CPU time, even if the database was idle. We were informed that this is expected behavior in interpreted-mode databases, and the only way to 'fix' this was to compile. Since compiling is not an option for us, we returned ITK and TCPSD, and are now using 4D's built-in web server, which works quite well.
