You could schedule a curl or wget command to make a request of the local host:
curl -qo - http://localhost/4dcgi/do-overnight-routine.a4d wget -qO - http://localhost/4dcgi/do-overnight-routine.a4d
[Of course, you need to make sure you can't call the script from the outside world...]
