Hi All

[ I posted this on the NUG earlier and then realised I might get a better response here, so if you've already read this please ignore (or respond if you've got any ideas - thanks!) ]

. . . . Could anyone with experience of using the ITK SSL server help me out with a problem ?

This is my first SSL job and the basic server is working fine but on starting the web server, TCP server deux (which I am using for the ITK wrapper) reports the following error:

2902008

. . . which according to the TCPsd manual is an 'ITK SSL error'.

Here's the setup:

- WIndows 2000 Server
- 4D Client 6.7
- ITK Pro and ITK SSL Server (all licenced) running inside TCP deux and TCP Server Deux
- Thawte test certificate generated using the server IP address in the 'common name' field
- checked that the private key is definitely the one from the keypair used to generate the certificate request
- private key and certificate paths are passed to ITK via TCP Server Deux via 'TCPsd_Create_Service_s' without apparent error
- Active 4D is handling the page requests (but is doesn't get that far for secure ones because the SSL listener doesn't activate)

I also have a setup on my powerbook (G4 800, Classic Mode) with firewalls off etc and get the same problem.

On starting the web server (via 'TCPsd_Start_Server') the un-secure listeners become active and the server serves on the standard port but not on port 443.

If anyone has been through this with ITK (I also checked the NUG archives and have got some usefull ideas there but nothing conclusive) and has got any ideas I would be really gratefull. For example, is there anything in ITK that will let me get more information about the problem it's having so I can debug it ?

Thanks in advance !

Peter
