One of the things I found myself doing in my first Active4D project was repeatedly adding and removing debug routines to view collections, variables, etc.... The included routines to display collections/variables are excellent but I found it tedious to have to insert the routines in each page. (and, of course, I had to be sure to remove them) As a way to learn more about A4D, I decided to create a more interactive method of displaying collections/variables.

What I've come up with is a web based control panel that allows the enabling or disabling of the debug routines on the fly. The control panel is displayed in a separate browser window and controls what is displayed in the main browser window. For example, you click the checkbox to display the session collection and then reload the page in main browser window. After the reload, you get the web page with the session collection displayed at the top. Uncheck the checkbox, reload and the page is displayed normally.

Anybody who wants a copy can contact me off list. Right now, there are 4 debug routines on the control panel but I'd welcome feedback on adding more routines or other enhancements.

Warmest regards,

Rick Hazey
