Kris,

I can't provide the exact details because I run ITK on a port above 1023 and have WebSTAR reverse proxy to it. IOW, all traffic first goes through WebSTAR. However, this same issue effected older versions of the 4D Webserver. I would expect solutions to that problem could be applied here.

One solution used an app called "pseudo".

The other would be to have your Mac forward traffic into port 80 to a high port. For details on how to do that search the 4D Monkeywerks archives for "ipfw".

I searched this list's archive and didn't find anything.

hth,

Brad

I'm attempting to put together an Active4D server on Mac OS 10.3 using ITK and 4D 2004.

ITK isn't responding to http requests under OSX, though it will with my tests in Classic with 4D 6.5. I've asked ITK support for help and have received no response. I'm hoping someone here can help.

ITK_TCPListen is returning zero. The ITK guide states that the application needs to run with root privileges in order to listen on ports ranging from 1 to 1023. If this is the cause, does anyone have details to set the privilege?

Thank you for your help.

Kris
