Hello all!
I'm working through the process of converting an existing web site to Active4D and the Fusebox methodology. A major reason for this conversion is to set up a system which will allow a number of A4D/Fusebox developers to build the Fuses independently. My hope is that this will allow us to implement changes and new features to our site more quickly by dividing the work load.

I you would like to visit the current non-fusebox version of the site it is: www.bookentertainers.com and it's sister site, www.bookfilmcrews.com

Right now I want to find out if anyone is interested in participating in this project. If there is interest, we can develop systems to assign the fuses and process payments to the fuse coders.

To give you the broad brush concept I have in mind, the procedure may go something like this:

I will announce a bid request for a fuse to be coded. The announcement will include the Fusedoc with all io defined.
A display fuse will also include the relevant html prototype code
I will specify a bid closing time of something like a few days from date of announcement.

You will be able to examine the Fusedocs and html, decide if you are interested in coding the fuse. If so, you will submit your cost and your proposed completion date.

I will then award the bid and the assigned coder will build the fuse. Payment will be made following successful integration of your fuse (about one day)

I don't expect that any fuse will require more than a few hours to complete. Payments will need to be made in US Dollars, so for anyone outside the US, we'll need to work out the best way to pay you.

I hope that this will be an opportunity for independent consultants with time available as well as "moon lighters" to do very small fuse projects in a short time frame. Your individual commitment will be to complete exactly one fuse by an agreed time.

If you are interested in exploring this idea further, please contact me off the list. In particular, I would like to know what experience, if any you have with A4D and with Fusebox.

        Our implementation system will be:
                4D Server 2004.2 with 4D web server
                Active4D 4

Kind Regards,
