I've also seen a problem with file aliases in A4D v3 on OS X 10.4.4 running 4D Server 2004.2, but not tried it in A4D v4 yet. A newly created alias to a non-executable file will not download correctly. This is what usually happens:
1. Request file AliasA and it downloads the original file A correctly.
2. Request file AliasB and it downloads the original file A instead of file B. 3. Request file AliasC and it downloads the original file A instead of file C.

The URL's are all correct (and I've checked that A4D "receives" them correctly), and the aliases and paths on the server are correct (and within the web directory). I've tried Empty Cache on the browser to no avail. This continues until 4D Server is restarted, after which the problem disappears. Newly created aliases then appear to work correctly. Very strange.
