Hi,
The problem persists, and we're in the same hole ...
This is a very difficult problem to trap, so any ideas would be
great ...
What I've found, is after stopping serving web pages, I can go to the
Design environment, open the 'On Web Connection' and put a TRACE at
the begining.
The browsers connection never arrives to the 'On web connection'.
If we scann the ports from other computer, all ports involved are
open: 80,8080,443,4437.
After some more modifications to 4D in the Design environment, 4D
starts to freeze, the dead-wheel-color appears, and we must force to
Quit-it.
So, the question, can Active4D cause this anomality ?
Because for what I know, Active4D is in the middle of the 4D, 4D
receives the web connection, pass it and Active4D does al the nice
job, and then Active4D release it to 4D and is 4D who sends back to
the browser.
The 4D version is the same as we were using with Active4D 3.x, and
Aparajita suggested a bad shell installation, ok, he is the father of
Active4D, but I've spent some hours re-installing it, and the problem
appears, and I don't have a pattern to follow, sometimes appears 5
minutes after going on line, and sometimes after some days ...
Thanks in advance for your help and new fresh ideas ...
Regards,
Raimon Fernandez

Sometimes it can stay one week without problems, but sometimes,
it can freeze each 10 minutes or so.
Sounds like an improperly installed shell. The shell code has
changed quite a bit, and more importantly the startup code has
changed.
I've followed carefully the manual, the process is simple and easy,
and the system is running fine, well, not always ...
I think it's not memory related, because we have found once that
after going on-line, ten minutes later 4D Client was freezed, and
the hits were normal.
Yesterday we had another hang-up, and since then, all is working
again normal ...
I've re-check the shell, and I don't see any difference, maybe I'll
try to update it again and see what happens ...
We are using always SSL.
Thanks for all,
